Helen Adams Realty is proud to welcome Michael Cruz to our team at our Lake Norman office.
A message from Michael:
I was born in Chattanooga, TN and raised in the Tennessee Valley. After graduating from Business School, I moved to Indiana to be a sales trainer for a large retail company. I enjoyed the work, but not the climate. I’m not a cold weather person! After living there a couple of years, my wife Tonya completed grad school and we decided to relocate. We researched extensively on the internet and our local library and chose Charlotte, North Carolina as our new home.
I continued my business career here in Charlotte by working for several of the biggest banks and investment firms as an investment broker, giving financial guidance to a wide range of people. I have advised the very rich and the very poor, and everyone in between. I enjoyed giving financial guidance on stocks, bonds, mutual funds, options, bank accounts, mortgages, credit cards, school loans, and other personal debts. I have always found it satisfying to put together a plan so that someone can realize their dreams, by working with their entire personal and financial picture.
After advising and studying thousands of people in my banking career, it became clear to me that the best way to achieve financial independence and your personal dreams is to own your own home and invest in additional real estate. No matter what your current financial status is, I can help you achieve that financial independence and realize those dreams, through the power of real estate!
There are so many things we love about Charlotte! Being three hours from the Smoky Mountains is great. Our favorite time to visit is in the fall, when all of the leaves have changed. Renting a mountain cabin for the weekend is a beautiful way to enjoy nature and North Carolina.
Spending time at the beach is my favorite! Charlotte is only three hours from several world-renowned Atlantic beaches. I love to Scuba Dive, body board, surf, fish, or just soak up the sun. And, our beaches are perfect for flying kites.
The Weather here is spectacular; we really enjoy having four seasons. Although we get the occasional snow to enjoy, winters here are very mild. Spring and fall are temperate and enjoyable, and summers never too hot to enjoy outdoor activities or a backyard barbecue.
Charlotte has so many outdoor activities available. The city has a wide range of parks for recreational activities. My favorite is the National Whitewater Center. It’s a huge man-made re-circulating whitewater river, the largest of its kind. Here you can enjoy whitewater rafting or kayaking, with classes available if you are new to either sport. They have a large paved walking trail around the river, a favorite for people to exercise and bring their dogs. Also exciting are mountain bike trails, zip lines, treetop ropes courses, and a giant climbing wall.
There are many other things we love about Charlotte. The city is well known for its museums and cultural exhibits, and features many world-class restaurants and entertainment venues. We get a wide range of the top concerts and Broadway shows visit every year. A good city transportation system ties it all together with buses and light rail.
